Critic of Hanna Varis solo exhibition by Maria Ollikainen, Etelä-Suomen Sanomat (Southern Finland Newspaper), 10/22/2012 :
“In the middle of the autumn rains solo exhibition of Hanna Varis is like manna from heaven ….
She looks at the world with great gentleness and picks up into her works ingredients of a good life. Cynical viewer might like her works to be naive. To those who are in love of life, they are views on how the essential speaks to the man.
Her topics are not easy. They are the things that we avoid confronting with teeth and nails to hide the fragility of ourselves. The benevolence of her art is disarming. “
